Tired minds but talent and team spirit see them through

Lack of sleep no bar to winning rugby
This wasn't what we expected. After two late nights and too much tour high spirits some of the boys looked as energetic as hibernating hedgehogs as a glorious sunny Sunday beckoned. Some of us doubters had our money on a narrow win for hosts Burnham, but as Brucey used to say: "Didn't they do well?"
You could criticise some of their tackling and anyone who ran more than 30 yards seemed to want a lie-down afterwards, but there was no doubting the commitment of the team or some of the handling that put the hosts to the sword. A good test of team spirit is to think how well they do the dirty work in the rucks and off the ball, and by and large to a man they did that superbly well.
The early stages did seem quite tight, but as Evesham took a grip with Josh A rampaging, Oli A sniping and Theo cutting through the gaps (including one try-of-the-season contender), it was Burnham who faded as the game went on and the touring parents who took to giving referee Howard some friendly and good-natured "encouragement."
As with Weston on Friday, Burnham's hospitality was excellent and much enjoyed and the morning proved a fantastic finish to a very successful tour which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
